Emmanuel Church, Chatteris
We are located opposite the Gables Nursing Home, next door but one to Barclays Bank, and diagonally opposite the Band Stand Gardens.
It is a Local Ecumenical Partnership of the Baptist, Methodist and United Reformed Churches.
We are a group of people of all ages and backgrounds.
Some come to the church regularly, others occasionally. Some have a church-attending background, some have none. Some are new Christians, some are mature Christians.
We are a mixed-bag of ordinary people who are on a journey, learning together what it means to be a Christian.
Our main weekly activity is the Morning Service each Sunday at 10:30am which lasts approximately for one hour; children are catered for.
It's best to arrive 15 to 20 minutes early so that you can settle in well before the service starts. (There is parking on the road and plenty down side-streets - have a look on Google Street-View).
You will be welcomed at the door, handed a weekly bulletin and shown to a seat. After the service, tea and coffee is served and there's an opportunity to talk to other people in the congregation. You'll find that we are a very friendly and caring group of people.
Our worship styles are varied: by turns traditional, modern, all-age, reflective, lively; or a mixture of styles.
If you are a resident of Chatteris or one of the local villages, or a visitor to the town, you'll be guaranteed a warm welcome at Emmanuel.
