Decorating the church for Easter
We will be preparing the Church for our Easter Celebrations of Christs Resurrection on Saturday April, 11th starting at 9.30am until 11.30am. We would be grateful for donations of Spring flowers and greenery and as always helping hands. If you feel that you are unable to arrange flowers, we are grateful for the coffee makers and help with the vacuum cleaning.
Thank you in anticipation.
Ann Middleton.
Christian Aid Week: May 10-16
Your donations in Christian Aid Week help families around the world to overcome poverty and injustice, wherever the need is greatest. Droughts are now more frequent and more intense due to the climate crisis. Millions of people are struggling to get enough food and water – your gift could help a community to build an earth dam so that, when the rains do come, they will have the water they need to live. Make a difference this Christian Aid Week. Remember – every envelope, every gift and special event can change lives. Last year an incredible £8 million was raised to help poor communities and 57,000 people across the UK gave their time to take part in Christian Aid Week. See www.christianaid.org.uk/christian-aid-week for more details. At the end of Christian Aid Week, following the house-to-house collection by our volunteers, there will be a Church Lunch for Christian Aid here on Sun. 17th May. Please give generously.
